A coordinator isn't asking if you're good. They're asking if you're safe to send.
Every referral a support coordinator makes carries their name. If the provider doesn't turn up, the family rings the coordinator. If the provider goes quiet, the coordinator walks into the next plan reassessment without knowing whether the supports were used.
So they send work to the people who make that risk feel small, and they decide quickly, from whatever they can see before they commit, like how fast you replied and whether you knew which budget the support comes from.
The quality of your work matters enormously. It's also invisible until after they've taken the chance on you. These kits are about the part they can see beforehand.

Proof You Can Use

Referral Ready: the support coordinator kit
What you need to become the provider a coordinator can send without having to chase. Set it up once, then it runs from the notes app on your phone.

- Eleven word-for-word scripts, from the first intro and the one-business-day reply through to plan reassessment summaries and handing over when a service ends, with phone and SMS versions
- A funding and intake section, so you know which budget a support usually comes from and what to ask before you say yes
- Editable files: the overview template and every script as Word documents, plus a coordinator tracker spreadsheet
- The monthly capacity update, written so a coordinator can act on it without ringing you first
- A response standard you can put your name to, and the mistakes that quietly cost referrals

Proof You Can Use.
A plumber can screenshot a five-star review and post it before lunch. You can't, and you shouldn't want to. This guide shows you how much trust you can build without anyone's quote, and how to ask properly when you do.
- The testimonial rules by profession: AHPRA-registered, self-regulated allied health, and support workers and coordinators
- Eight kinds of proof you can publish tomorrow, each written out ready to use, and none of them need a participant's words
- A consent process that makes saying no genuinely easy, because many participants find it hard to say no to the person who supports them every week
- Two ask scripts and a consent form you can adapt, plus an Easy Read version
- Google reviews by profession: whether you can ask, and how to reply without confirming someone is a client
- Proof you can post this week that doesn't need anyone's quote
- A clear line on what your profession can and can't use
- A consent form and an Easy Read version ready to adapt, for when you do ask
- A way to handle Google reviews that fits the rules you work under

From download to set up in a week.
You don't need to read Referral Ready cover to cover before it's useful. Here's one way to work through it, one job a day.
Write your overview
Fill in the one-page template, using Maya, Nadia or Sam as a guide. Send it to yourself and read it on your phone.
Put the scripts in your phone
Copy the scripts you'll use most into your notes app with your details filled in, so a fast reply doesn't depend on being at a desk.
Run the funding and intake checks
Work out which budget your supports usually come from, and set up the questions you'll ask before you say yes.
Set your response standard
Decide how quickly you'll confirm a referral and how you'll keep coordinators posted, then put your name to it.
Start the tracker
Add the coordinators you already know to the tracker, then send your first monthly capacity update.

Get referred, then stay trusted.
The coordinator kit gets you on their list. The proof guide makes sure everything they find when they check you holds up.
$146 if bought separately, so you save $17. Both kits, including the editable Word and Excel files, emailed to you in minutes. Already bought one kit? For 7 days after you buy, you can add the other for the difference, so you still pay $129. The link is in your delivery email.

I can't promise you referrals.
Referrals depend on things neither of us controls, like local demand and who the coordinators near you already trust. I'd be wary of anyone who promises them.
What the kits help with is the part a coordinator can see before they commit: how quickly and clearly you reply, and whether you keep them posted once the work starts. You'll also track referrals by coordinator, so you can see what's working over time.
I'm not a provider myself. The NDIS and legal points in the kits are checked against official sources and dated, and for anything that touches your registration, the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission and the NDIA are the sources that count.
Is this for you?
A good fit if you
- work independently or run a small provider, registered or unregistered
- do good work that the people who know you would vouch for, but strangers can't see yet
- get most of your work through coordinators, or want to
- would rather send a good email than post every day
Probably not for you if you
- want a promised number of referrals
- run a large provider with an intake team and a marketing department already
- are looking for legal, pricing or compliance advice. These kits are general guidance, and the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission and the NDIA are the sources that count

I'm Em Nowland.
I'm a brand strategist for service businesses where trust decides the sale. I've spent years building growth systems for registered NDIS providers in Western Sydney.
The pattern I keep coming back to is that good operators lose work to providers who are simply easier to send. That's fixable, and it doesn't take a rebrand or a daily posting habit. It takes a few clear documents and the discipline to send the right email at the right time. These kits are that part of my work, written down so you can use it without me.
Before you buy
Will this get me referrals?
I can't promise that, and I'd be wary of anyone who does. Referrals depend on things neither of us controls, like local demand and who the coordinators near you already trust. What the kit fixes is the part a coordinator can see before they commit: how quickly and clearly you reply, and whether you keep them posted once the work starts. It also shows you how to track referrals by coordinator, so you can see what's working over time.
What if something's wrong with my files?
Email me at emily@riserooted.com.au and I'll fix it or send them again. If a kit isn't what this page describes, I'll refund you. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law always apply.
How do I get the files?
They arrive by email within a few minutes of checkout. Each PDF page carries your name and email, because the licence is yours, and Referral Ready also comes with its editable Word and Excel files. If they don't turn up, check your spam folder, then email me and I'll send them again.
Does it work if I'm unregistered?
Yes, for most supports. The overview template and scripts show you how to state your registration status plainly, including which participants you can work with if you're unregistered. Some supports, including specialist behaviour support and plan management, can only be delivered by registered providers.
Is this written for my profession?
Probably, yes. It's for support workers, allied health, behaviour support practitioners and small providers who work with coordinators. Referral Ready has worked examples for a support worker, an OT and a registered behaviour support practitioner, plus a page for small teams. The proof guide sets out the testimonial rules separately depending on who regulates you. If you're regional, the overview works by suburb or council area, so it suits a big patch too.
I'm an OT, physio or psychologist. Is the proof guide still relevant?
Especially for you. AHPRA restricts testimonials about clinical aspects of your service, including comments on your skills, and the guide covers what you can and can't use, plus eight kinds of proof that don't rely on testimonials at all.
I've only just started. Is it too early?
It's a good time, actually. You get to set your response standard and your one-page overview before habits set in. There's a page on finding coordinators when you don't know any yet, and Script 1 is the intro to one you haven't worked with. A coordinator will usually look you up before they reply, so if there's nothing to find yet, sort that out early.
Is this a course?
The kits aren't. They're PDFs you can read in a sitting or two, and Referral Ready comes with editable Word and Excel versions of its templates. There are no videos and no logins. If you'd like to start smaller, the free 5-day email course further down covers the basics.
How is the free course different from the kits?
The course gives you the thinking and one small job a day. Referral Ready is the full set you'd work from: the overview template with filled-in examples, eleven scripts, the funding and intake checks, the capacity update and the editable files. Proof You Can Use goes further on testimonials and reviews, with the rules by profession and consent forms. If the course turns out to be enough for you, that's great.
Why would a marketer know about referrals?
Fair question. I'm not a provider. My background is brand and growth work, and for years that's meant building growth systems for registered NDIS providers in Western Sydney, which has put me close to how referrals arrive and why they dry up. The NDIS and legal points in the kits are checked against official sources, with the date on each sources page, and for anything that touches your registration they send you to your regulator.
Will following the kits keep me on the right side of AHPRA, privacy and the Spam Act?
They're written with those rules in mind. The scripts use initials and keep health details out of email, the capacity update has the opt-out line the Spam Act needs, and the proof guide sets out the testimonial rules by profession. It's general guidance, though, and rules change. For anything that affects your registration, check with your regulator or the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
Will the kits be updated when the rules change?
They're current as at the date on each sources page, and I don't promise updates. The NDIS is changing over the next few years, including wider registration from July 2027, so check the official sources linked in the kit before you rely on anything rule-based.
Can I share them with my team or practice manager?
Each kit comes with a single-operator licence, so it's for you and your business. If someone helps you with admin, they're fine to use your copy for your business. Please don't forward the files or post them in a group. If other workers or practitioners would use it for their own referrals, email me at emily@riserooted.com.au about a team licence.
Can I claim it as a business expense?
That's a question for your accountant. You'll get a receipt with your purchase. One thing I can say clearly: it can't be paid for from a participant's NDIS plan.

One short lesson a day, each with one job you can finish over a coffee. You'll cover how coordinators check you before they ring, the one page they keep, the reply that wins the next referral, proof that doesn't need a testimonial, and staying on their radar.
One email a day for five days, then the occasional note from me. Your details stay with me. Unsubscribe any time.
You don't need a big strategy project to work with me.
My Work With Me page covers the larger engagements. That's one part of what I do. Plenty of independent operators come to me needing something much simpler, and I'm glad to do that work too.
Just getting started
New ABN, no website yet, not sure where to begin. I'll set you up with a simple website and a Google Business Profile, so when a coordinator looks you up there's something real to find.
Need a website or a hand with marketing
You've been going a while and your site's out of date, or you know you should be doing more online and haven't had the time. I'll fix what matters most and leave the rest.
Starter websites are from $1,500. Anything else gets a fixed quote before we start, so you know exactly where you stand. If you've bought a kit, book a starter website within 60 days and I'll take what you paid for the kit off the price.
